DNAted Project with Makerversity & Kings College London 2015

This was & still is such an interesting project for me. As a child I was told about DNA by members of my family, but as artists the concept  of DNA was explained to be in a very visual way and I’m almost sure it was with plasticine.

I was lucky to be part of the initial Design Team drawing sketches and discussing how we would move forward with the project and how we could involve the general public within the event.

Ultimately we were aiming to create a system of pieces (formulaic & visual) which would lock or connect together to demonstrate DNA (or RNA) and how one change in the ‘CDGA’ coded pattern could create a completely different structure.

I was also one of the final volunteers when the project opened at the Fabrication Festival at Kings College London in October 2015.
