AW 2011 Designs for People Tree
I started an internship with People Tree in July 2010. It was 6 months, working through the seasons with a focus on the whole Womens & Mens collection of knitwear with designer Saori Ito.
As she was managing wovens as well, I had the chance to make knitwear ‘my baby’, creating and editing specs, designing 2 fairisle patterns, choosing the stitches, yarns and colour ways.
Whilst working on the garments, I also had the chance to create several sets of accessories and some Menswear! Everything is Knitted by hand in Nepal by KTS, so it is a long process in terms of receiving and sending samples, making amendments and finalising the designs, but well worth it.
It was a great experience post-graduation and I would definitely recommend an internship with them!
